Volleyball 1976-1977 (Do you recognize any names?)

Volleyball season 1976-1977 was a good year for the Pirates with a record of 10-3, which earned them 2nd place in the Southeastern 4A. Patricia McNair was named all-conference and Joanna Huggins was an honorable mention. Pirate Alumna Lynsey (Johnson) Hoppes Named Head Cheerleading Coach at University of South Carolina Upstate

Congratulations to 2012 Pirate graduate Lynsey (Johnson) Hoppes on being named the Head Cheerleading Coach at University of South Carolina Upstate! Lynsey was a part of the Pirate cheer team that brought home a 2011-2012 National cheer title (as well as other titles). She went on to cheer at East Carolina University and Clemson University.

Kelly Commits to Allen University

Justin Kelly, a 2020 Pirate graduate, has committed to represent Allen University on the mat while he continues his education. Allen University is an HBCU in Columbia, SC and will soon be a NCAA Division II wrestling program (currently NAIA). That will make it the ONLY HBCU wrestling program in the NCAA, and Kelly will
