Pirate Wrestling has Four State Qualifiers

Lumberton Wrestling traveled to Cardinal Gibbons to wrestle in the 4A Mideast regionals this past weekend. The Pirates had four State Qualifiers: Justin Kelly (113) 2nd place Jon Floyd (120) 4th Place Kenson Sinclair (143) 3rd place Darionte Mclaurin (170) 3rd place Lumberton will travel to Greensboro Thursday for the NCHSAA State Championships. JV Lady Pirates…Lots of Heart and Talent

Pirates Wrestling Headed to 4A Mideast Regionals Today

Lumberton is on its way to the 4A Mideast regionals at Cardinal Gibbons. The Pirates are sending 13 wrestlers in the hopes to place in the top four and qualify for the state tournament next week. Good luck and safe travels Pirates! Pirate Pride!

County Rival Game & Senior Night

The Varsity Pirates and Rams will be battling it out on the hardwood tonight in Lumberton. The girls will tipoff at 6 and boys at 7:30. The boys are currently 2nd in the conference. The seniors will be recognized between the girls and boys games. Freshmen boys and the JV teams are traveling to Purnell.

Congratulations to Viking and Hornet Basketball!

Two Pirate feeder schools made it to the county basketball championship games. Lumberton Jr. High Vikings played Fairmont Middle for the boys county championship title and won for the fourth year straight. Go Vikings! During the conference tournament, senior Justin Kelly and junior Darionte McLaurin both had their 100th career win.
