Girls Varsity Basketball · Senior Guard London Thompson Receives McDonald’s All-American Game Nomination

Senior Captain London Thompson is one of ten female basketball players in North Carolina to receive a nomination for the McDonald’s All-American Game. Final selections will be announced on Tuesday.

Thompson is a fan favorite to watch on the court with an average of 16.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 6.1 steals, and 7.2 assists per game. She was selected MVP of the Robeson County Shootout in December and has received numerous honors during her high school career as a three sport Pirate athlete. Last year she was named the Robeson County Player of the Year, was named to the All-Cape Fear Region Team, All-Southeastern Conference Team and All-District 4 1st team. She received other honors at the school level.
