Boys Varsity Football, Varsity Football · Sheridan, 2015 Pirate Graduate, Continues to Standout

It is a great feeling opening up the sports section of The Robesonian and seeing a Pirate graduate’s photo featured in an article covering a college football game. “I think Josh Sheridan is a heck of a running back,” Richardson said (head UNCP football coach). With Josh’s record as a Pirate, this statement does not surprise us.

Whenever we write about Josh and his football career at UNCP, we can’t help but to reflect on his accomplishments as a Pirate. As a Pirate, Josh rushed 1603 yards, had 21 touchdowns on 162 carries as a senior. an All-County Selection, Robeson County Offensive Player of the Year, SEC 4A All-Conference selection, and SEC 4A Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He was (and still is) active in church activities. He worked hard in the classroom and was a member of the Beta Club and National Honor Society.

Fantastic role model!
