The Pirates attended a one day football camp today at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
“The guys represented Lumberton well today at the 1st Annual Mack Brown Summer Camp at UNC. Super proud of them and looking foward to seeing what they can accomplish.” (Coach Adam Deese, Defensive Coordinator).
The campers also met Julius Peppers at the camp. Peppers played basketball AND football at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2002. He also played for the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
Attending camps is an important part of preparing for football season and growing as a player. It is also a way to introduce the players to bigger and better opportunities. This was just one of several camps scheduled.
The players have also been practicing hard and working hard in the weight room. Looking forward to a great season. Go Pirates!
