Janiya Worley is a Pirate student-athlete who more than deserves to be in the “spotlight”. While taking honors and AP courses throughout high school, she has continued to be active in extracurricular activities and work part-time jobs.

She has consistently been on the honor roll 9th – 12th grade, is a member of the National Beta Club, member of the National Honor Society, a member of the National Technical Honor Society and was a junior marshall. Other club and school activity includes the Key Club (treasurer 11th & 12th grades), Health Occupations Students of America, Breakfast Buddies, freshman mentor, and a member of Science Olympiad.

Janiya has participated in volleyball, softball, bowling, track and field during her high school career and was the varsity girls’ basketball manager for 4 years.

Outside of school, she is a member of the choir at her church and works at Blush Boutique and Hwy 55. She also babysits (CPR certified) and tutors.

She also finds time to give back through volunteering. She has volunteered at RHA Health Services, My Refuge, the Kiwanis Pancake Festival, has been a Red Cross volunteer and participated in the Red Cross Blood Drive.

Thanks Janiya for all of your hard work and for being a role model for others. Pirate Pride!
