Girls Varsity Golf, Girls Varsity Soccer · Senior Spotlight…Isabella Oxendine

Throughout high school, Isabella Oxendine kept herself busy with honors and advanced placement courses, participating in several clubs, giving back to the community and playing the sports she loves.

Oxendine is a member of the National Beta Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society and is an NC Scholar. She is the vice president of the Lumberton High School Student Government Association, vice president of the Lumberton Juniorettes Women’s Community Service Club, a member of the Pirates’ spirit club Maroon Typhoon, and she is a member of the youth group at First Presbyterian Of Lumberton. During hurricane recovery after Hurricane Matthew and Hurricane Florence, Oxendine volunteered at various locations to give back to her community. She spent her summer of 2017 volunteering as a junior volunteer at Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Oxendine played golf and soccer all four years as a Pirate, serving as a captain for both her senior year. She received the Coaches Award for golf her junior and senior year and was the first girls golf team member to make it to regional championships in 7 years.

Oxendine was a homecoming representative her freshman and junior year and was crowned the 2019-2020 Homecoming Queen.

In the fall, Oxendine will be attending East Carolina University. She wanted to continue to be a Pirate.
