Girls Junior Varsity Sideline Cheer, Girls Varsity Sideline Cheer · Class of 2021 Senior Spotlight…Blayre Meares

Senior Blayre Meares is a well rounded student-athlete who works hard in the classroom as well as on the sidelines cheering on the Pirates. Meares also stays busy away from school as a competitive dancer, being active in church (member of East Lumberton Baptist Church), and as an assistant dance instructor.

Meares was a member of the JV cheer team for two years and is in her 2nd year of varsity cheer. She has excelled as a Pirate cheerleader, competing and winning several competitions with the team and making all-region cheer. She also competed with cheer last February at Walt Disney World. Dancing as a competitive dancer since the age of three, Meares has traveled and competed all over including Walt Disney World twice and on a Carnival Cruise. She has been an assistant dance instructor for Amy’s Academy of Dance Arts for five years.

Working hard in the classroom has earned her a membership in the National Technical Honor Society, National Beta Club, and National Honor Society. Meares is also a member of HOSA, Juniorettes, and Maroon Typhoon.

Blayre has currently been accepted to East Carolina University and Wingate. Congratulations Blayre! Keep striving and making your dreams come true. Go Pirates!
