Pirate graduate Raegan Reeves, who is currently a chemical engineering student at North Carolina State University, is the founder of Crude Spill Cleaning Company. The company’s mission is to “…research new and innovative methods for oil spill response, specifically in regard to waterfowl”. While attending Lumberton High School, Reeves was a standout student-athlete. She played on the varsity women’s golf team all four years of high school and was a captain during her junior and senior years. Reeves was the Student Body President and Vice President of Maroon Typhoon. She excelled in the classroom and was a member of the beta club, national honor society, and Science Olympiad.

Reeves’ grandfather, George Allen, also graduated from Lumberton High School (Class of 1955) and also played golf.
