Girls Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Volleyball · Class of 2021 Senior Spotlight…Destiny Hunt

Many Pirate fans will recognize this young lady. Destiny Hunt has represented the Pirates on the volleyball court, softball field and was the manager of the Lady Pirates basketball team.

Hunt understands the importance of working hard in the classroom. Taking college classes her junior and senior years, participating in clubs and playing sports, Hunt still has maintained over a 4.0 GPA. She applied to ten colleges and was accepted to all ten, so she has a hard decision to make. She plans to double major in Biology and Nursing and eventually go to Medical School with the hopes of becoming a Pediatric Emergency Physician.

Being a member of clubs as a high school student is important not only because of the friends and connections you make. Participating in clubs helps you improve creative thinking skills, improve communication skills, and having a well rounded portfolio makes you more competitive as a college applicant. Clubs Hunt has participated in include: National Honors Society (President), Beta Club, National Technical Honors Society, NASA, HOSA, and the Spanish Club.

Thanks for being a great role model. Best wishes to you always!

Go Pirates!
