State Dual Results from 1/29/19

The Pirates had a close loss to Laney (37-33) in the first round. South View defeated Green Hope 44-24 in the first round but fell to Laney in the 2nd round (43-33). Laney will take on Jack Britt in the 3rd round. The Pirates will be preparing for 4A East Regional individual championships next weeekend.

Pirate Wrestling to Host 1st and 2nd Round State Duals

Lumberton wrestling will be a host school for the first & second round of the 4A NCHSAA State Duals. Lumberton (Number 2 seed) will face Laney and South View will face Green Hope in the first round. Regan Named Conference Tournament Most Outstanding Wrestler

Conference coaches voted Pirate Tray Regan Most Outstanding Wrestler at the conference tournament. Regan placed 1st in his weight class at the tournament today. Regan’s record is impressive (51-4 conference record 7-0). He holds the school record for career wins with 128, passing alumnus Chris Kelly. Regan has tied the season record wins of 51

Pirate Wrestling Places 2nd at Conference Tournament

Lumberton wrestling traveled to Purnell Swett today to compete in the SAC 8 conference Tournament. Congratulations to the team for placing 2nd overall at the tournament. Pirate Cheerleaders Earn Honors

Varsity Cheerleading Coaches who are current members of the NCCCA may nominate up to TWO JUNIORS from their cheer team for All Region. Friday Night Basketball Results…Four Wins Against Hoke

Freshman boys traveled to Hoke and claimed the first win of the day for the Pirates. Final Score was 37-22 JV Girls and Boys also traveled to Hoke. The girls defeated the Bucks 62-34. JV Boys fought hard but fell short with a final score of 66-55. Varsity Lady Pirates defeated the Lady Bucks 61-27.

Pirate Wrestling Claimed County Championship Title Wednesday

Pirate Swim Team Makes School History

17 Pirate swimmers are headed to regionals. 17 is the most in school history! Congratulations to them. The boys finished 3rd in conference, and the girls also finished 3rd.
