Who was Alton Brooks (Alton Brooks Stadium)?

Alton (Tunney) Brooks was a coach, mentor, role model, summer swim teacher, athletic director and so much more. Coach Brooks came to Lumberton High School in the late 1950’s. When Coach Brooks first came to Lumberton, he coached basketball, baseball and was an assistant coach for football. Pirate basketball had 291 wins under Coach Brooks.

LHS Cheer Clinic Ages 4-14

A cheer mini clinic will be held August 5th – 7th at Lumberton High School in the mini gym. The cheer clinic is for ages 4-14. Cost if you pre-register is $65.00. Cost at door $75.00. Terranova Receives Scholarship from NCCCA

The North Carolina Cheerleading Coaches Association (NCCCA) awarded 10 scholarships this year, ranging from $500 – $2000, to 10 class of 2019 North Carolina high school cheerleaders. Brianna Terranova, a Pirate cheerleader, was one of the recipients. Terranova received a $1,000 scholarship award! She will be attending East Carolina University. Congratulations to her! Go Pirates!

Incoming Freshmen JV Football Information

Incoming Freshmen are to report to the field house July 22 at 8am for equipment and gear handouts. Workouts will begin at 9am and end at 11am. Workouts will be Monday thru Thursday of that week. It will then be the beginning of the season and will run M-F for the 14 day period leading
