Two Pirates Finish 2nd at States

6 Pirates qualified to compete in the NCHSAA individual wrestling state championships in Greensboro. The Pirates traveled to Greensboro on Thursday for three days of very competitive 4A wrestling. The Pirates have two finalists at the individual state championships today in Greensboro. Yakemeian Johnson (132) and Tray Regan (HWT). Regan won yesterday in a tiebreaker and Johnson by pin. Wrestling Results of 1st Round of 4A NCHSAA State Championships

The Pirates had 6 wrestlers who qualified for the individual state championships. They traveled to Greensboro yesterday for the 1st round. Five Pirates won their 1st round match: Justin Kelly, Yakemiean Johnson, Ed Brock, Alex Hammonds and Tray Regan. All 6 will wrestle again. 2nd round starts today at 9:00 am. Good luck Pirates!
