26 Student-Athletes Lettered in Three Sports

Twenty-six student athletes were recognized at a luncheon last week for playing three varsity sports this school year. They received the Super Pirate award and were served a great meal. The luncheon was held in the Galleon Grille on campus, and the meal was prepared by Mrs. Rose Freeman’s culinary class (pictured below). Go Pirates!

For the fall and winter sports, the Pirates had 6 teams qualify as scholar-athletic teams. A varsity team earns scholar-athletic recognition through NCHSAA by attaining a 3.1 unweighted GPA for that designated semester.
