Kelly Commits to Allen University

Floyd Named County Wrestler of the Year

Congratulations to senior Pirate wrestler Jon Floyd for being named Robeson County Wrestler of the Year! Floyd, who placed fourth (120 lb) at the NCHSAA championships, was the only wrestler in Robeson County to place at the state championships this year. Floyd also had the most wins of any wrestler in the county this season

Floyd Named an Athlete of the Week by The Robesonian

Senior Jon Floyd recently placed 4th at the NCHSAA state wrestling championships. He had more wins than any Pirate wrestler this year with a record of 56-13. Congratulations to him for being named one of The Robesonian’s athletes of the week for February 16-February 22nd. Go Pirates!

Little Recognized at NCHSAA Wrestling State Championships

Floyd Places 4th in State

Four Pirate Wrestlers are off to Greensboro for NCHSAA Individual State Championships

Four Pirate wrestlers qualified for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association individual state championships. They are traveling to Greensboro to compete at the Greensboro Coliseum with the best of the best in the state. Justin Kelly, Jon Floyd, Kenson Sinclair, and Darionte Mclaurin will be representing the Pirates on the mat. The state championships

Pirate Wrestling has Four State Qualifiers

Lumberton Wrestling traveled to Cardinal Gibbons to wrestle in the 4A Mideast regionals this past weekend. The Pirates had four State Qualifiers: Justin Kelly (113) 2nd place Jon Floyd (120) 4th Place Kenson Sinclair (143) 3rd place Darionte Mclaurin (170) 3rd place Lumberton will travel to Greensboro Thursday for the NCHSAA State Championships.
